Assignment

Using the data file provided and any Bl tool at your disposal (e.g., Tableau, power BI, MS Excel, etc..),

your task is to perform data analysis on the data set and produce an executive dashboard.

Your Tasks to be Included in Report Below

1. Analyze the raw data set (describe how you did this) and comment about the quality of the data. 8%

2. Identify a list of questions the data can answer for the executives. Include NON OBVIOUS questions! 10%

3. (a) Identify any questions you as the data analyst would recommend be answered that the data does

not support and (b) identify the data that would be required to enhance this data set in 2020. 12%

4. Prepare a STRATEGY MAP for the company, based on the information provided in this document. 10%

5. Design and "build" an executive dashboard to support executive decision making. Make sure it

provides answers to the questions in #2 above AND that it aligns with the elements of the STRATEGY. 35%

Content of your REPORT

Create an executive business report that combines all information from above (#1 - #5) AND very specifically includes:

Your analysis of the data, including

The list of questions the data answers (from #2 above)

The list of questions that data does not answer but should (from #3 above)

The SPECIFIC gaps in the data and what data should be captured in the next year (2020)

to augment the data set to close the gap in information (from #3 above)

Provide (a) an assessment of the data quality (good, bad, adequate) (from #1 above) and add (b)

what recommendations would you provide to improve the quality of the data (5%). Please feel

free to correct/clean the data set as you see fit. If you do cleanse the data set, please outline the

changes you made and why. If you don't correct/clean, please explain why not needed. (5%).

6 - 10 sceenshots from your Executive Dashboard for the 2019 data (from #5 above) with clear

and useful instructions on how to use and interpret the dashboard (15%).
