Evaluation of (differential) positional accuracy of Android Location Services
In the context of this work, the accuracy of position estimation based on Android Location Service will be examined. Of interest is the mode with the highest accuracy, which combines GNSS measurements with WLAN localization. The evaluation will cover both the accuracy of position estimation itself (device position in the global coordinate system) and the accuracy of differential position estimation (device position in the coordinate system of another device).
The task includes the following aspects in particular:
Familiarization with the basics of global position determination using GNSS as well as the transformation of measurements into local Cartesian coordinate systems
Creation of a simple Android application that continuously evaluates the device's position data and provides it in a machine-readable format with timestamps for subsequent processing.
Optional: Direct transmission of results via WLAN betw
