Thank you for your interest and sorry for my belated follow-up. I was travelling and had Internet connection problems.

Also, I realize the word Hologram could be misleading in my description (animated or "zeotropic" vinyl records might be more appropriate. So here more info:

I am a vinyl record freak and looking for an algorithm that would allow me to do such records. Sizes are 7", 10" and 12 " Running speeds are 45 rpm (7" and 10"), 33 rpm (10" or 12").

What I am looking for is a user-friendly algorithm (a kind of app) where I can upolad pictures to get a file (any format, psp, pdf, jpeg, tiff, png... 300-600 dpi full size) generating a special image once the record spins.

The result could be:
- A static image (not spinning at all)
- A switch between 2 images (one every half turn of the record)
- Several images to generate an animation (gif type)

I work on a MacBook pro, and would love an easy solution: Upload 1, 2 or more files and get a printable file that does the job on a turntable under a specific light.

My worry is light frequency / wavelength: Natural sun daylight probably has a much too high frequency and isn't homogeneous. Standard frequency of in-house current is 50 or 60 Hz (pulses per second) depending on geographical location. This route would need to allow for both options in the app. Then another approach would be to use a dedicated light with a fixed wavelength/frequency, infrared (around 700 nanometers (frequency 430 THz), to 1 millimeter (300 GHz), UV (100-400 nm wavelength, 800 terahertz (THz or 1012 hertz) and 30,000 THz) or anything else, of which cheap lightning systems exist. Convert the wavelength, measured in meters, to nanometers, by dividing this number by 1,000,000,000, 10 to the 9th power.
