Full Stack Developer for a Qatar based Start-up

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative web applications, ensuring seamless user experiences, and maintaining the integrity of our back-end systems. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for technology, a strong sense of creativity, and the ability to solve complex problems. Duration of work is 6 months (extendable to annual contract in case of mutual interest). The work would remote for a startup located in Qatar, Doha.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design and develop responsive user interfaces (UI) using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a keen eye for aesthetics and usability.
• Create interactive and intuitive web applications by utilizing front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js.
• Develop server-side logic and back-end functionality using Node.js and integrate with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between the front-end and back-end systems.
• Collaborate on the integration of third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality.
• Ensure application security by implementing best practices and addressing potential vulnerabilities.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Optimize application performance and scalability to deliver a smooth user experience across various devices and platforms.
• Deploy applications to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and manage server configurations and web servers.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, refactoring, and adherence to coding standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications and projects showcasing your skills.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js).
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one server-side language (Node.js) and experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Knowledge of web application security best practices and experience implementing secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment technologies (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a keen interest in learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.
