Cybercrime exam for attending students: guidelines for the group projects that will be discussed on 4/June/2024

Dear students,
as discussed, we have scheduled a  project presentation on the last day of the cybercrime lectures (4.06.2024), for those attending students who wish to participate. Each project will be graded according to a scale ranging from 0 to 30, with 18 being the pass mark. To record the grade, students should register for an examination session afterwards.
Guidelines for the group project:
1.     one studen per group
2.     Select one typology of cybercrime from the list below, drawn up taking into account the main typologies of cybercrime covered by key international conventions:
-        Cyber stalking
-        Cyber laundering
-        Cyber Extortion
-        Misuse of device
-        System or data interference/damage
-        Unauthorized access computer system
-        Offences related to infringements of copyright
-        Offences related to child pornography
-        Computer fraud
-        Cyber violence
-        Revenge porn
-        Identity theft
-        Communication interception
-        Grooming
-        Undue use and falsification non-cash payment instruments
3.     Read and analyse the criminological literature on the topic: we recommend selecting one/few aspects of a specific topic to narrow it down to a specific geographical area/timeframe/dimension (e.g. quantitative/qualitative description of a specific phenomenon or its perpetrators or victims, analysis of its causes, predictors of victimisation/offending, etc.)
4.     Read and analyse criminal law provisions on the topic, i.e. legal texts and relevant literature at international and/or national level (depending on what is relevant to the chosen topic)
5.     Write a clear and concise essay in English (maximum 3 pages including bibliography, Times New Roman 12 font), structured as follows:
-        title and authors
-        short intro (few lines to introduce your topic)
-        a section (section 1) devoted to your criminological analysis
-        a section (section 2) devoted to your criminal law analysis
-        conclusions (few lines with some final remarks/comments)
-        bibliography
You are kindly requested to print your paper and hand it out to the course instructors on the day of the presentation.
6.     Prepare a ppt presentation to present your paper to the classroom on 14.06.24. Each group will have about 15-20 minutes to do so
