Description of a customer regarding new software related to a construction machine rental system(MRS)
„A construction machine rental company is lending different types of machines for do-it-yourself activities at home. Machines like drilling machine, circular saw and others are available for customer to lend. Client may be interested in lending one machine or even more machines of different types. Some machines are available in local office, others are available in other offices of the company and needs to be transferred to local office. Customer is allowed to cancel his order at every time. Different payment option should be considered The new software should be able to handle the entire lending procedure incl. reservation and payment.“
1. Define and describe stakeholders of the planned software product
2. Nominate at least 3 „Use-cases“ and 3 „Misuse-cases“ of above description and explain them in your own words (see page 140 of lecture material)
3. Expand the 2 „Use-cases“ including actors and relations
4. Select one specific „Use-case“ and construct a functional description containing
- Definition of target - Usage of product
- Product function - Content of database
- Detailed product function - Requirements on quality
- Miscellaneous - Glossary
- Further formal content
5. Construct an entity relation diagram (ER-Diagram) of above description
